In-Flight Videos

The following videos were shot using my JVC GR-DVL805 digital video camera. Nothing special about the camera. It's just a regular old mini DV recorder. I built a custom lightweight video camera mount that ends up positioning the camera roughly where the passenger's eyes would normally be. It has been able to capture some pretty neat stuff. The camera doesn't let you see the vast view that the tip-up canopy provides, but it has done a decent job of allowing me to record and share some of the fun I've been having.

Update 3/11/05 -- I just bought a super cheap ($15) 0.5x wide angle lens and I've been playing around with it. It helps since it expands the field of view in the frame.

You will most likely need Windows Media Player to play these videos. Macintosh users can click here to download a version of Windows Media Player for Mac. Worst case, there's a full list of downloadable video links at the bottom of this page.
